When using Diatomaceous Earth as a dry topical application, you want to wait a few days between releasing Fly Predators and sprinkling DE. Once Fly Predators are hatched and burrowing around the manure, the DE would not reach and affect them. DE will kill most insects while dry, but once it absorbs moisture, it loses its ability to penetrate the insects' exoskeleton.
